The project involves the creation of a wearable bracelet capable of detecting through an UV light sensor the sun radiation that affect everyone during the day and a mobile app that recieves the data from the device and suggests to users the exposure time.
The project
consists in the creation of a wearable bracelet capable of detecting the
sun's radiation through, that affects everyone during the day, and in particular on the
beach.
The bracelet is able to record the data and calculate a threshold limit, different for each subject based on personal characteristics, beyond which the risk of sunburn and skin damage becomes critical; in this case users have a notice by a bracelet's vibration.
The bracelet connects to a mobile APP that can handle multiple personal profiles, and has an information section on UV rays and the damage they cause. Furthermore there is an educational game to approach and sensitize even the youngest.
