Space Apps Challenge 2017

After a while we have change our minds and decided to give the project a diferent orientation.

Now the goal is to develope a system that is capable to teach people, in their house, about the use of energy in a proper way.

Through a webpage the user will be able to visualize energy data such as the amount of energy consumed during the last month, day, week, instant power consumed by the whole house, and other statistics that will give the user a better unterstaning of their energy use.

We have already finished the measurment circuit, we are sending the values over the internet, and the webpage is full working.

how?

In three steps

1. Defining how much energy is available, data straight from the solar pannels. How much energy will be available. Planetary rotation, weather forcast.
2. Making this information available in all the tents, houses(to be used in the earth)
3. Giving each device in the habitat enough intelligence to decide the right time to withdraw energy.

why?

1. The idea came from the fuct that the power from the sun in other planets isn's available all the time.
2. The same ocurrs in earth. Luckly we have other power supplies to replace them. But we already know about the their drawbacks(Global Warming).
3. The amount of energy that batteries can store is small. Plus they are too heavy to take to another planet.

Today Valeria joined the team we are so happy about that. We are ready to start!!!

The idea to which we have arrived is to devolpe a system that is capable to establish the amount of energy that is available from the solar panels, and how much energy the crew needs. It's intended not only for space use but also for a more erthly use.

It was an afteroon full of feelings. At first a little nervous and andxious, but as we started to share our ideas, it all turned more relaxed. It's so rewarding the fact there other people who with you can share all your ideas and to know that the other person also has got too many thing to share.

Today we were able to stablish the basis in which we will construct our proyect.

Things as easy as chosing a proper name for the projet at first galnce doesn't seems to be a problem, but it's intresting to find that even that task requires a great amount of effort.
