The Deep Space Transport will be taking humans on a 1000 day voyage to Mars. The spacecraft can be assumed to have internal dimensions of 10.8m length and 7m diameter. Once developed, missions to space and Mars can be taken by ordinary people, who are untrained to the living conditions in space. This means we do not know how untrained people will respond to living and working inside the tight confines of a spacecraft for such long periods of time.
This software attempts to simulate the habitat and conditions in the spacecraft that people will be placed in for their journey. With the help of Virtual Reality, it can be possible for people to experience this setting while they're still on Earth. This will not only help the developers of the mission to overcome problems that maybe faced ahead of the mission, but will also enable people to experience and understand what they will undergo during the mission.
