Challenge description
designing a layout for the hab that would accommodate all the activities that take place inside it. You may also, or instead design an energy- or space-saving piece of furniture or appliance to be used in the hab.
Choosing the shape
It is the sturdiest dessign that we can achive using as little material as posible due to it's duble curve that distributes pressure evenly all over the shell rather than concentrating it at any one point. It also eliminates the need for using columns thus providing more open space.
It provides excellent aerodinamics, needed for use on planets with high wind speeds. It's aridinamics properties are superior in longitudinally because winds usually blow in certain direction.
The even distribution of pressure provided by the curvature is absoutely necessary due to the pressure difference from inside to outside.

Decompression chamber: it's used for equalising the pressure differences and washing the space suits thus keeping the living area safe from contamination.
Laboratory: designed manly for doing geology research, ti is equipped with incubator for isolation between lab materials (e.g. microbes) and crew members.
