FloodAlert
FloodAlert is aimed to help people to be aware of future floods on time, so they are able to take preventive measures
Our tool is structured around the prediction of floods and presented via a webpage that uses a GoogleMaps API. This website is prepared to be visualized from a smartphone.
The program is supposed to predict the flood risk, evaluating the precipitation forecast thanks to a neural network which has been previously trained using the relationship between data sets from past floods and the historic precipitation data.
However, several problems were encountered while gathering the data, and therefore we couldn't obtain a reliable predicting algorithm .
