The tool is able to visualize Aurora radiation predictions from nasa: (DRAP 30 mins) and overlay a flight path then measure the radiation exposure.

Day 1-
Spent the day investigating whether IOT could improve the quality of data when predicting aviation radiation risks.
The idea is to: provide flight attendants/aircraft with a cheap radiation detector and collect data from a whole array of these devices to map current radiation and thus improve forecasting.
I spend most of today using openCV and python to see if a webcam can measure radiation effectively by meausring the noise on a CMOS chip.It can detect increased background radiation outdoors.
