Terra-Monitor Is a Web-App designed to help people get information on Landslides and monitor Landslide occurrences in real-time using social media feeds and this has the potential to optimize the rescue process and warn travelers of potential Landslides.
Every year thousands of people from all over the world lose their lives as a result of landslides.
What if we can help save some of these lives by teaching people about landslides and warning them about landslides in their area as they happen?
Terra-Monitor was built to help people learn about previous landslide occurrences in any location specified by the user and gives them the causes of these landslides in a visually appealing UI using data from NASA and sources on social media.
The app provides real-time information about landslide occurrences as they happen using crowdsourced data from social media.
We will continue to develop this app and hopefully with time turn it into a great emergency reporting and prediction solution, and make everyone in the world safe.
