Create crew-friendly designs for a habitat and/or its multi-use furniture, to be used for isolation studies on Earth that are researching the environmental and human dimensions of life on another planet.
Home Sweet Hab
Redesigning the HI-SEAS Mars habitat to better use the space provided as well as improve crew morale.
Team Gem'nEric tackled the project of redesigning the HI-SEAS Mars habitat to better use the limited space provided while leaving enough room for the crew to socialize and live as comfortably as they can.
The redesigned hab contains the following:
UPPER FLOOR: 6 bedrooms, a utility room and a bathroom / shower area
BOTTOM FLOOR: Clinic, kitchen with recreation / dining area, laboratory / workshop, and two airlocks, one for general use (located by the lab) and one for the rover (located by the clinic) complete with pressurizing garage.
