Project has been uploaded as a zip file to Google Drive. The Sketchup file (MarsHab.skp) is included in the top-level directory and the full Unity project is under the subdirectory (SpaceApps2017).
We are at the end of our 32 hour hackathon. It was productive! We managed to get all the rooms portioned out and nearly all of them furnished. The VR is not perfect (and we wouldn't be asking anyone to try it out, even if they are fairly good with VR sickness...) but the basics are there. With a lot more time, we could have the user capable of venturing around the entire hab, maybe even interacting with it!
Digitalized our floor plans! The SketchUp model is nearly finished and we'll get it into Unity within the next few minutes.
Making a slideshow for pitching tomorrow, hopefully will have a 30 second clip of movement from within the simulation for our video. :) Just need a series of screencaps from SketchUp and Unity to finish out the slideshow. And maybe some more caffeine.
Trying to incorporate NASA 3D models. Unfortunately, not many habitat related items to be found.
Found that making models in Google Sketchup saves a lot of time... Unity is giving us grief.
Currently getting Unity to work with us and mocking up prototypes in Minecraft!
